Numerous institutions collaborated to present exhibits and events at over 30 locations throughout the city to highlight “advances in modern cartography as they apply to our earth and the skies above.” The Festival demonstrated both the positive impact of large-scale collaboration and the advantages that a separate coordinating entity could bring to possible future events involving extensive planning and logistics.
