The Chicago Collections Consortium Timeline

Riverside Public Library

The people of Riverside have supported the Library generously as evidenced through the beginnings of the Library coinciding with the Great Depression and continuing through today. The Riverside Public Library has the distinction of being Landmark Number One, in a Village which has Landmark Status.  Two special collections:  the Fredrick Law Olmsted Collection and the Czech and Slovak American Genealogy Society of Illinois’ Paul M. Nemecek Collection are housed in the Library and available for use by the public.
