Chicago Collections Consortium (CCC) was excited to be among the nominees for the 2016 Digital Library Federation's Community/Capacity Award (DLF Comm/Cap, for short) for the creation of Explore Chicago Collections (EXPLORE) and Metadata Hopper, and for integrating access to Chicago's Archives.
The award was designed to honor constructive, community-minded capacity-building in digital libraries and allied fields: efforts that contribute to the ability to collaborate across institutional lines and/or work toward something larger, together.
CCC remains grateful to DLF for recognizing the incredible collaboration of Chicago Collections member institutions, our hard-working committee members, and the countless others who contributed to making EXPLORE a reality, all of whom continue to share their passion and expertise in building this organization and keeping Chicago's history and culture alive.
